Exciting News: We’re Now Approved to Deliver the ST0248 Laboratory Technician Standard!

We are proud to announce that we have officially been approved to deliver the Laboratory Technician (ST0248) Apprenticeship Standard – a significant milestone in our commitment to supporting the next generation of scientific professionals.

This approval means that we can now work directly with employers, apprentices, and training providers to deliver high-quality end-point assessments (EPA) aligned with industry expectations and regulatory requirements. The ST0248 standard is designed to equip apprentices with the practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours they need to thrive in a range of laboratory-based roles, across sectors such as pharmaceuticals, chemical manufacturing, biotechnology, food production, and environmental science.

What Is the ST0248 Laboratory Technician Standard?

The Laboratory Technician standard is a Level 3 apprenticeship, typically completed over 12 to 24 months. It provides a structured pathway into scientific careers for those passionate about practical lab work, data analysis, and contributing to vital research and development activities. Apprentices work alongside qualified scientists and technicians, developing their competence in real-world settings.
